By enrolling my son/daughter into Got2Dance I confirm that I accept the above terms and conditions.

ATTENDANCE

Your child’s attendance in class is very important not only to themselves but their peers and our teaching staff. As a member of the team, it is a commitment for you to ensure your child attends their classes on time each week and attends all lessons planned for them. Not only do absences impact the pieces we create, it also impacts the social and confidence-building principals we work hard to foster in each age group.

We have seen first hand the damage that missing class regularly can do to a students training. If students do not attend their lesson they are missing out on the technique that is being taught to the rest of the class and they may also miss choreography or new pieces that we are starting during the session. This can then lead to a knock in the students confidence as they are unable to focus on what is currently being taught, as they are trying to catch up on what they have missed.

We do understand that some absences can not be helped so if you know ahead of time that your child will be absent due to holidays, commitments or school trips, please let us know as soon as possible so the class impact is minimal. If your child is too unwell to attend class, we ask that you inform our admin team as soon as you can so they can let the teachers know and we do not wait for your child to arrive at the studio.

Please call or text Charlene prior to the class to let us know if your child cannot attend class as in some instances classes may need to be cancelled.

If we are made aware of a students absence we are happy to make contact and inform the parent/guardian on any information they may need to know such as things they may need to bring for the next lesson or tasks they may need to do before they next attend the studio.

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate make-up sessions for students who miss classes although private sessions can be booked. We will make every endeavour to schedule a catch-up class in the unlikely event that Got2Dance needs to cancel a lesson.

STUDIO RULES

Within the studio we have some simple rules that ensure all students are safe and feel comfortable in the studio environment. It is important that teachers, parents and students are aware of these rules to ensure that the school expectations are met.

1. FOOD AND DRINK

Food and drink should not be consumed under any circumstances in the studio space (unless drinking water).

2. ARRIVING AT THE STUDIO

We ask that students arrive at the studio 10 minutes prior to their class, this ensures they have time to prepare for class without rushing. If a student is going to be late for class please do let the studio know by contacting us as soon as possible.

3. COLLECTING STUDENTS FROM THE STUDIO

No student(s) under the age of 13 will be allowed to leave the studio alone unless prior arrangements have been made and we have this in writing.

4. BE RESPECTFUL AT ALL TIMES

The school has a strict no bullying policy and therefore if we discover that anyone is found to be making others feel uncomfortable or bad about themselves, the involved student may be at risk of losing their place in the school.

5. UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT

Students must ensure they are wearing the correct uniform and have the necessary equipment for their class to be able to take part. The studio have the right to refuse students entry to class if they are not prepared.

6. BEHAVIOUR WITHIN THE STUDIO

– Students listen to direction whilst in lesson or in reception – Students must not use bad language
– Student must inform their teacher if they are ill or injured – Mobile phones must be switched off during class.
